Psychologists in Canada are typically required or encouraged to take a minimum amount of Continuing Professional Development hours to maintain their professional designations and skills. The courses on LearnFormula may be counted as professionally relevant, verifiable learning activities. Browse courses that meet your requirements, or choose one of our course packages, specially curated to contain all the hours and credits you need, in one place. It is the student's responsibility to validate whether an activity is an eligible educational activity for their professional development requirements based on their own learning needs.
As a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) you must obtain Continuing Education Credits (CECs) in order to maintain your certification. The requirement is 36* CECs over the course of each three year period that you are certified. The CECs must be obtained in a relevant counselling or psychotherapy area.
After taking a course that is pre-approved for Continuing Education Credits, complete the "Continuing Education Credit Application Form" (available here: https://www.ccpa-accp.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/CEC_APP_APRIL6.pdf) and submit the form (along with your certificate of completion) to the CCPA National Office.
PsychTraining courses are built around relevant, verifiable content that can be applied toward CCPA CPD hours. As with any provider, it remains the member's responsibility to confirm an activity fits their own professional development needs before claiming it.
One subscription covers your annual hours, your rolling multi-year total, and your ethics requirement — with the paperwork handled for you.
